After receiving feedback from the community and collecting additional data regarding the restricted speed zone, the Division of Parks and Watercraft conducted additional analysis and determined that normal boating operations and towed water sports could resume at Buckeye Lake. Please practice safe boating and continue to use due caution when operating a vessel in the lake. This decision is based on maintaining the interim summer pool and could be reconsidered if water levels decrease due to lack of precipitation.

Delivery of the new floodgates occurred on February 27. Full installation is underway with the gates becoming fully operational by the end of March. Work was completed on making a modification to the north spillway of East Reservoir which increases the efficiency and hydraulic control of the Portage Lakes system. The Long Lake floodgates replacement project is scheduled for completion in late summer, 2017.
The spillway "stop logs" are in place to allow lake levels to rise, Phase I accomplishments, Phase II process underway and listening sessions dates are set.
