Lake Loramie: New spillway design in use as project nears completion

Work over the past two weeks has included placement of the left embankment and installation of sheet piling. Lake refill between the two cofferdams was completed and now water is being held behind the new spillway, which features a labyrinth design.

Buckeye Lake: Change in Work Shift Plan

Please be advised that to efficiently and effectively finish a critical section of work from North Shore to just past the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club, DeWind will be implementing a 2-shift work plan beginning tomorrow, December 2. This will involve working from 6 AM to midnight from Saturday through Thursday of next week.

Cutler Lake: Preparation continues to ready for concrete work

Workers have been excavating and began subgrade cleaning in the area where dam improvements and a new spillway are to be constructed. This includes shaping the spillway foundation with a substance known as “dental concrete”, which typically consists of conventional concrete that is used to shape surfaces and fill irregularities as preparation prior to concrete structure pours. Construction work is to continue, weather permitting, through winter. Project completion is scheduled for Summer, 2018.
