Buckeye Lake Dam: Public Safety; Embankment Stability Berm Fence

Posted on 2/29/2016 by Engineering in Buckeye Lake Dam

For public safety, crossing the fence to the Embankment Stability Berm (ESB) is prohibited except for emergency responders and authorized personnel. Do not cross the fence for any reason.

Activity related to the installation of the Embankment Stability Berm (ESB) continues from the access areas at North Shore and Sellers Point. The ESB has progressed past Black Diamond Bend and Sellers Spillway. Construction crews recently found wood, metal and other remnants that may have a historical importance to the region. ODNR is working closely with the State Historic Preservation Office to ensure the materials are preserved for later inspection and identification. Soil mixing activity will continue at both Liebs Island and North Shore. Crews have begun the soil mix cut-off wall at Liebs Island and will begin at North Shore soon.
