Cutler Lake: Dam Improvements to Begin After July 4 Holiday

Posted on 4/25/2017 by Engineering in Cutler Lake

Mobilization for the project will commence this summer after the 4th of July. Construction is anticipated to continue through the spring of 2018. Contractor bids have been received by ODNR with Cross Roads Construction Inc. out of Cambridge, Ohio as the apparent low bidder. The construction process will begin with the lowering of Cutler Lake. Water control measures and erosion and sediment control measures will then be installed to allow for the excavation of the new spillway. Soils will be excavated and the new spillway will be constructed. Earth fill will then be placed and compacted in order to tie the new spillway into the existing embankment. Other rehabilitations and upgrades will be performed throughout the process.
