Buckeye Lake: Safety equipment install will occur at night

Posted on 9/24/2018 by Engineering in Buckeye Lake Dam
Scheduling Update

To ensure the Buckeye Lake Dam Project remains on schedule, contractors will begin installing dam safety equipment (piezometers) during the night. This work is directly tied to monitoring the performance of the dam and dam safety. The night shift will be limited to five nights a week—Monday thru Friday from 6pm to 6am. The first rig will begin on Monday, Sept. 24. A second rig will begin Monday, Oct. 1. The rigs will be at separate locations across the site; individual homes should only be impacted for a few hours. The dam embankment from the homes to the lake remains an active construction site. For public safety, site access presently remains limited only to emergency responders and authorized personnel.

Safety Reminder
