Cutler Lake: Final weeks of work move project toward completion

Posted on 10/17/2018 by Engineering in Cutler Lake

Substantial completion of dam improvements and spillway replacement has been achieved along with a substantial completion inspection. Workers have some additional items to complete; among these are: to finish grouting around the new sluice gate, reestablish 10-foot wide level crest and install aggregate trail atop the dam, continue construction of the boat ramp adjacent to the beach, install new electric service to service the dam structure and new picnic shelter, install handrail along the spillway and finish embankment revetment around the control tower. Final project completion is expected by the end of 2018 and the lake allowed to refill. The lake will be stocked with gamefish in time for lake recreation next spring. The work and picnic shelter area will be seeded for a grass cover to emerge.
