Lake White: Water Level to Increase During Construction

Posted on 1/9/2017 by Engineering in Lake White Dam

With progress under way to preserve the infrastructure at Lake White and the surrounding roadways, additional steps are being taken to restore water elevations in the lake later this month.

Although the Lake White Dam rehabilitation and bridge replacement project has been extended through the first half of this year, crews will allow water levels in the lake to rise approximately 10 feet beginning January 31. This is above the levels that have been maintained since the project began, and while it will be five feet below normal winter pool, the lake is still targeted to be restored for the 2017 fishing and boating season.
