Lake Loramie: Dam improvement project moving toward spring completion

Among the work completed during the past month includes completion of the bank floodwall construction, embankment placement, and placement of the upstream, downstream and swale riprap. The south cofferdam has been removed and site monitored during thawing and rain events. Among the work items to be completed during the remainder of winter is to pump water between the old spillway and new embankment. Installation of a drain pipe, weir box and additional piezometers also is scheduled. Project completion remains on schedule for Spring, 2018.
