Cutler Lake: Peak season for outdoor concrete work

Posted on 6/20/2018 by Engineering in Cutler Lake

It’s peak season across Ohio for construction workers utilizing concrete in a variety of jobs outdoors that include dam and spillway improvements. Over the past month, approximately half of the new spillway/chute slabs, training walls, wingwall walls and slabs, labyrinth weirs and other items have been installed at Cutler Lake in Blue Rock State Park. Placement of these items along with chute and stilling basin slabs will continue over the next 30 days. The new spillway features a labyrinth weir design to improve the efficiency of lake water discharge and is similar to projects recently completed at Lake Loramie, Mt. Gilead and Indian Lake state parks. Substantial project completion is scheduled for Fall, 2018 with final completion set for end of year.
