Pike Lake Dam: Renovations in progress

Posted on 3/26/2014 by Engineering in Pike Lake Dam

Renovations to the Pike Lake Dam are currently in progress. Some of the work includes overtopping protection and replacing the spillway and lake drain systems, which have required the lake level to be drained. As a result, boating, fishing and swimming activities are not available this season. Work began in early March, 2014 and is expected to be completed by the end of Fall, 2014. Dredging of the lake is not part of this dam risk reduction construction project. After the work is completed, lake levels will gradually return to normal as precipitation allows and water recreation can again be enjoyed. Project cost is approximately $4 million.
