Posted on 9/22/2017 by Engineering in Indian Lake Dam

The cofferdam has been removed and construction completed on the west half of the new spillway at Indian Lake. This portion of the new spillway is now functional and controlling lake overflow. Workers are beginning to prepare for removal and replacement of the remaining old spillway (the eastern half) utilizing a construction berm and cofferdam. The $7.6 million project is on schedule and will see completion in Spring, 2018. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to observe the presence of workers and equipment at the work site, which is adjacent to the state highway and spillway outflow.
