Cutler Lake: New spillway taking shape at Blue Rock State Park

Posted on 7/18/2018 by Engineering in Cutler Lake

About two-thirds of the concrete placement in constructing the new spillway at Cutler Lake Dam is completed. Approximately 85 percent of the overall spillway construction should be reached by the end of August. Workers continue placement of spillway walls and slabs. In the coming weeks they will excavate rock to subgrade level in the remaining stilling basin area below the new spillway, install Phase II water control and demolish the old water treatment plant, in addition to other work items. Substantial project completion is scheduled for Fall, 2018 with final completion set for end of year.
