Two state-owned Buckeye Lake properties to be demolished, another leased property to be remediated.

Posted on 7/6/2015 by Engineering in Buckeye Lake Dam

ODNR has set July 7 as the date for the start of demolition of three properties, two of which it recently purchased and the other which is being leased, are located on Buckeye Lake Dam in Walnut Township of Fairfield County. Demolition work is expected to take 7-10 days to complete. The state-owned properties scheduled for demolition include the former Smitty’s Inn located at 3545 Sellers Drive and the residence at 3465 North Bank Road. The leased parcel is at 3507 Sellers Drive. The structures on these properties are in disrepair and need to be removed for public safety reasons. After the structures are removed, each site will be restored back to its natural condition with structural fill and topsoil.
