Buckeye Lake: Spring construction activities and plans

Site preparation has begun this week; including trucking material from Liebs Island. To facilitate safe vehicular traffic and avoid damage to the road, traffic control measures will be active Monday through Friday and periodically on weekends. When there is no construction activity scheduled on the weekends, the traffic control lights will be set to a continuous warning (flashing yellow) and the orange barrels will be moved to the road edge.

Buckeye Lake: Normal Boating Operations and Towed Water Sports Return

After receiving feedback from the community and collecting additional data regarding the restricted speed zone, the Division of Parks and Watercraft conducted additional analysis and determined that normal boating operations and towed water sports could resume at Buckeye Lake.

Buckeye Lake: Water Levels and Risk Management

Buckeye Lake: 2016 record year for dredging

Ohio State Parks has concluded its dredging activities for 2016.  A record total of 293,228 cubic yards of material were removed from Buckeye Lake April-November, 2016 surpassing the 2015 record of 139,000 cubic yards.

Buckeye Lake: Winter Water Levels and Phase 2 Planning

Beginning October 1, 2016 ODNR will begin to actively manage Buckeye Lake to maintain the target water elevation at "winter pool".

On March 1, 2017 the "stop logs" will be put back in place and the lake will be allowed to refill to no more than 1 foot below normal "summer pool".
