Lake White Dam Improvements

Posted on 6/26/2015 by Engineering in Lake White Dam

On June 23, the water level of Lake White was 11 feet below winter pool and 15 feet below normal summer pool. The tailwater was up more than 14 feet from normal stream elevation due to recent precipitation events. Some ordinary downstream flooding was occurring, but expected to subside later in the week. ODNR says dam construction and roadway construction bids will be opened in late July with construction to begin later summer or early fall. It is expected the comprehensive dam improvements will be completed in time to restore lake levels and offer seasonal water recreation by Spring, 2017. More project information here.
